The Viewfinders' Story...

Viewfinders was co-founded in the fall of 2010 by Natalie Tranelli and Anne Kotleba under the auspices of the Maryland Institute College of Arts’s MFA in Community Arts program. Together with eight dedicated young people and support from East Baltimore organizations and volunteers, the Baltimore United Viewfinders developed their own name, mission and goals.

The organization has since grown to serve 35 youth annually, including the Junior Viewfinders Future Leaders Program.  In 2012, Anne Kotleba was awarded the prestigious Open Society Institute - Baltimore Community Fellowship for her work with Viewfinders.
